Amissville Baptist Church

Missions

Our church is missions minded.  We seek to learn what missions are, how to support our missionaries, and how to do missions.   We may not be called to Africa, or even North Dakota, but that doesn't let us off the hook. There are no exceptions to the Great Commission. We are all called to tell others about Jesus and to serve in His name, to meet  the  physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those we see every day.

Opportunities we had this past year here at ABC:  Vacation Bible School, Impact Virginia, Youth Evangelism Conference, Armenian backpacks project, Operation Christmas Child, witnessing bracelets, candy gifts to Warrenton Overlook, mittens and gloves, the angel tree families, Christmas in August, Christmas shoeboxes, K Mart gift wrapping, coat drive, rice bowls for world hunger, Women of Faith, summer camps, Amissville community Christmas boxes, March for Life, Relay for Life, Culpeper Crisis Pregnancy Center, to mention a few.

We can also invite friends and neighbors to church functions. We can show by how we live that we serve a different master. We can be ready to tell others about Him. That, in essence, is missions.
